ABOUT SCHOOL

Ibadan Grammar School is one of the oldest and most respected secondary schools in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. It was founded on 31 March 1913 by Bishop Alexander Babatunde Akinyele in the tradition of Christian education, making it the first secondary school established in Ibadan. The school has a long history of academic excellence and discipline and is known locally by the motto “Deo et Patriae” (For God and Country).
